Financial Tragedy

The greatest tragedy of the financial crisis (some might say "ethical scandals") is not that they eroded investor confidence. The tragedy is that the existence of these fraudulent business models meant that resources were taken away from companies that potentially could have made better use of that money. Companies that could have used resources to advance society in the true spirit for which the free market has come to be revered.

Unfortunately, we support a system that prioritizes outdated traditions and doublespeak over effectiveness and efficiency.
